Dynamo lore and story
An editorial guide to Dynamo's background, motive for entering the Ritual, and possible wish from a Patron.
Who is Dynamo?
As a Scientist, Professor Dynamo always had an inquisitive mind. So when a rift in space and time opened up in central park he was first on the scene to investigate – and while he expected such a majestic sight to be life changing, he was thinking more in a metaphorical way as opposed to having his body atomized and reduced to a tiny dying star. But while his body is gone, his spirit and lust for knowledge lives on. A tenured professor at Columbia College, Dynamo looks to learn more about his condition while maintaining his class load, after all: he has future minds to inspire.
Dynamo enters a Ritual in which six heroes aid a Patron against its rival. Victory matters beyond the match: the successful Patron can offer each ally a wish, turning every combatant's private motive into part of the city's larger occult crisis.
What would Dynamo wish for?
To reverse the catastrophe that transformed his body and recover the life his experiment took from him.

Dynamo's story connects a personal problem to the larger struggle over the Amber Hand and Sapphire Flame. Dynamo keeps himself and his allies healthy while waiting for his moment. Few things can warp a team fight more than a well-coordinated use of Singularity. is the gameplay expression; the lore asks what someone with that temperament would risk for a single supernatural bargain.
The Patron bargain makes this motive important: a wish is not simply a reward, but a test of what Dynamo values and what price they may accept when an elder power controls the terms.
